Unabridged Student Comments:
"What an awesome teacher! Loved her class."
"Hilary was a fantastic teacher, about a thousand times better than my calc III teacher last semester."
"Great job Hilary, Sorry I never paid attention."
"This is my third calculus class at CSU and my second with Ms. Smallwood, and I really think she is a very good math instructor. She is thorough at doing examples, which makes the homework much more clear, as well as making me feel much more prepared for exams. I have heard nightmares about this course, and while the material is very difficult I think Ms. Smallwood made it manageable."
"Yeaaa Hilary!"
"Good professor for such a difficult subject matter. Communicated the subject matter effectively. Much better than when I had **** last semester. I learned much more in this class."
"The teacher rushed the last week of lectures which was some of the most difficult material to learn. Spacing during the summer session needs to be re-evaluated."
"No need to memorize all equations, useful to provide an equation sheet on exams. Perhaps offer alternative points offering a more conceptual homework as alternative to exam questions to gain lost points on exams."
"The only thing I would say is to try and make some of the things more interesting, use videos/demos to introduce some of the new concepts. Learning can be fun when it apply to real world situations and concepts."
